Miss Japan, Miss Universe 2007

Just woke up earlier than usual and switched on the tv. Initially, I wanted to return to bed again but liking what i saw, i stayed on to finish the program. New knowledge; Miss Japan won this year's Miss Universe while Miss USA was jeered. Two Asian representatives made the top 5. Miss Korea was the other. However, she finished 3rd . Rounding up the top 5 are, Miss Brazil playing bridesmaid to Miss Japan, Miss USA coming in 5th and Miss Venerzula.

Lovely...Some of the poses the ladies struck for their glamour pics were kinda more suited for some erotica magazines. Haha. Nobody's complaining though...Without taking shine off Miss Japan's victory, most of the official sponsors for this contest seem to bear names that resemble those that you will find from the land of the rising sun. Is it pure coincidence or otherwise, we should just be proud of Miss Japan's win, a win for us, Asians and yellow-skinned ppl.

Hmm...just wondering...if the host had announced, "In the event that Miss Universe cannot fulfil her duties, Miss Brazil will assume her duties." Would it cause any confusion? At least, it will sieve out the bimbo if Miss Brazil stepped forward to receive the winner's crown. haha...

Bought the funky green a couple of days ago. What attracted me is the unique design and it's funkiness. Looking through my collection of watches, all are very official-looking and too atas le... Makes me feel OLD...I haf a penchant for collecting watches...haha. It's cheap too...$5 onli!!! Got it frm some off-the-street stall.

The silver one belongs to my friend. It's kinda nice too but being a very boorish person, i m afraid if i bought it, i might just scratch it. It's pretty affordable too, $10 onli!!!

With Great Singapore Sale looming in the horizon, there's a growing suspicion that my debit card might haf to go into overdrive...but who cares??? we live once...and if saving for rainy days argument is anything to go by, i say what happens if u dun live to get wet in the rain?

Okie gers (and queer guys), this is for u! Presenting to u IMG next top models, Mr Marine Parade and Mr Hougang. Mr Hougang, on the right, forgot to put on his sash...Mr Hougang is actually urs truly! Eh..hemm...Okie, enuff of the delusional, ego trip, Mr Hougang is actualli somebody else while Mr Marine Parade is a fwen of my fwen, Issac Low.

Unfortunately, Issac did not finish in the top 10. However, i feel that he deserves to be there. Without being too judgemental and bias, some top 10ers just lack the substance. Yesh, credits must be given to them for their hardwork n physical attributes, but some just lack the flair n presence of mind and articulation to be a worthy Mr Singapore?

One horrendous reply from a top10er during the Q&A section is as follows:

Q: If you were given the choice of returning a deceased world leader to life, who would it be and why?

Excuse me? Haf u lost your mind or are u on drugs? Choosing Adolf Hilter is poor taste and abhorrent! Wee Kim Wee, Ong Teng Chong would haf been very convenient if Winston Churchill and Ghandi din impact ur existence as much as Adolf? Fortunately, it was not broadcasted in national tv, otherwise u will be the brunt of malicious newspaper dressing-downs? Death threats may even follow!!!

Silly, silly guy! If it was meant as a joke, no one is lauffing! Absolutely tactless!!! How to compete at the world stage??? If the same question was posed to u at a broadcasted international pageant, u will be lucky if u aren't dismembered!!! Our ministers will haf alot of explanations to make and after which, Mr Tharman will haf to sit down n rethink our education system!

Also, if there was a ten-year series for Q&A for pageants, please please please include this under the "ANSWERS U GIVE TO LURE TROUBLE" section.

Mars vs Venus on channel 8 is superliciously great! Huang Biren's still hot and her acting is top-notch! Definitely a strong contender for best actress! "Would you be there", one of the songs often interluding sad scenes just makes one want to tear! Some scenes with the song nearly crumbled me. hee...

Volunteer?

Imagine a selfish and thoughtless person doing volunteer work? Ha! IroNy exemplified, amplified, magnified!!! CIP aside, most of wat i do is for me, myself n me again. Then again, CIP is for myself ain't it? Haf to fulfil otherwise will haf some consequences...

I believe that handicraft has never been my forte n today my belief is affirmed ever more strongly. Wao lao, cannot even cut along straight lines properly... n somemore was in PnP comms! hmm....wonder why my designs nv got approved? it suxed! haha... think i shall stay with ping pong ( sux too, not as bad), badminton ( sux alittle less ) and tennis ( sux still ).

itching to try new things... sky-diving? or ice-skating? just maybe...

Oh, this selfish brat actualli queued for sth he din realli liked twice! But hey! it was worthed its while, wonder why? For the love of thyself, won't u just drop it already?
