While waiting for my flight back to Stockholm, I decided to erect my own interpretation of a Swedish Temple...
It was time to say goodbye to the snow...

We headed to Kurravaara for our unique transportation ( dog-sledge and snowmobile ) for our stay at a Lappish Hut. Good experience, pretty view, not-so-bad food and okie accommodation. Not much to be done since it was in the rural area. Then again, even in the city, there was not much to be done.

Transportation to the airport is monopolized by the taxi operators and it was ridiculously priced for a 10min ride! SGD20 per person! After this experience and the general prices of transport in Europe, I hope I will have nice things to say about the taxi and transport system in Singapore.

And where is Mas Selamat Kastari again? There are so many protocols and bureaucracy in the military to prevent someone from say complaining about his superiors or get a sick leave or even draw stores yet a man of Kastari's stature can give the police the slip. And by the way, Kastari isn't exactly quite the gold-medalist sprinter escapist or a contortionist nor does he possess Micheal Scoffield's intellect. He is but a 47 years old chap who probably walks slower than my grandmother because he limps.

I feel that some people in the highest echelons of the public sector ought to be replaced! Yes, it may be unfair or harsh but the seriousness of this matter cannot be trivialized! What an insult it is for our security forces! I guess we should seriously reconsider our plans to host the Youth Olympics. We can't even guard a limping middle-aged man, let's not even dream of protecting promising athletes from the rest of the world!
